LOT 24: HARRISON BROTHERS & HOWSON, A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER SPIRIT KETTLE, HALLMARKED SHEFFIELD, 1900
Kettle having fluted lower body met by repeating chased and engraved floral and leaf band with two stylised cartouches, one monogrammed, gadrooned and stylised acanthus leaf rim, engraved inscription, reading ‘Presented to The Revd G.T. Hall on his retirement from Shrewsbury School, by members of his house 1867 July 21, 1900’, carved wooden final and partial handle, similar decoration to stand, raised on four elongated feet, hallmarked to kettle body, kettle lid, stand, two connector pins and oil burner.
